  • Mesa Verde panorama from Sun Point, Chapin Mesa, left end. This and the following three shots actually are sequential parts of a single image, which I printed at 10-1/2"x88". One viewer likened it to a "where's Waldo" book, the challenge here being to find all of the ruins among the rocks of the cliffs.
In this shot, Oak Tree House is at the left, with Sun Temple on the mesa top at right.

  • Sun Point panorama, left center. Mummy House is at left, Cliff Palace at right; notice that there is an intervening valley, so the latter is much further from the camera. In the "original" size view, you may just barely be able to pick out the Cliff Palace overlook above and to the left of it—visitors there give a sense of the vast scale of this place. (Images 19 and 20 in this gallery were taken from there.)

  • Sun Point panorama, center right. The overlook information sign says that there are two small ruins in these cliffs, but I still haven't been able to pick them out even in an enlarged view in Photoshop.

  • Sun Point panorama, right end. Sunset House is featured here. The total panoramic view of all four shots is approximately 180 degrees.
